Since its inception, Double Coin has become an unmatched leader among Chinese tyre manufacturers. From manufacturing the first radial tyres for trucks in China to manufacturing the first EPA SmartWay® certified tyres, Double Coin has led other Chinese manufacturers in using cutting-edge technology to make better tyres. In 1989, Double Coin established a partnership with Firestone Tire to acquire tubeless tyre structure technology to improve durability and performance.
Double Coin created a joint venture with Michelin in 2001 and 2011 and was also involved in shared technological projects with other major companies, including Beakart for cables, Chevron for carbon black and synthetic rubber, and Huayi Group for petrochemicals. These technological investments have been integrated into the manufacturing of high-quality TBR and OTR tyres.
