Designed to meet the demands of electric cars, the Nankang Sportnex AS-3 EV combines a latest-generation rubber compound with nanomaterials. This design enables it to achieve a B rating for rolling resistance and an A rating for wet grip under the European labelling system.
Acoustic comfort has been the subject of specific work using dedicated simulations, in order to reduce the noise perceived while driving. Its reinforced belt provides greater rigidity to the tyre and also helps to lower rolling resistance, an advantage linked to the greater weight of electric vehicles.
At the shoulders, the chamfered lateral grooves help to limit block deformation over time. The outer edge also features a particular design, developed to provide a more refined visual and tactile finish.
