Uniroyal tyre
Uniroyal was created in 1958 as the result of a partnership between an American company and a Belgian group. Uniroyal tyres are manufactured by Continental in Europe and Michelin in the United States. The brand boasts a great reputation: it was the first to manufacture rain tyres and has received many awards for its innovative and high-performance products. Sharks appear smooth and almost slippery from a distance, but their skin is actually covered with small scales similar to a tangle of miniature teeth. These not only protect them but also allow them to push water along their bodies more efficiently and quickly, in order to track their prey with less resistance.
Our RainSport 3 and RainExpert 3 tyres utilise the Shark Skin Technology (SST) developed by our designers from observing shark skin. Bionics has enabled us to replicate its effects in the tyre tread patterns. As a result, water is expelled quickly from underneath the tyre.
