The Michelin e.Primacy tyre was developed to make electric car journeys more reassuring. It helps improve range by around 7% on average, i.e. up to nearly 30 km gained for a vehicle advertised with a 400 km range.

These performances are based on technical choices designed to reduce energy losses. The airtight EnergyAirShield Compound rubber compound reduces energy dissipation, while the CoolRunning sidewall limits the energy absorbed during flexing phases. This combination enables more efficient use of the battery throughout journeys.

Energy savings and sustainable design

The E Primacy is an eco-designed summer road tyre, developed to increase service life while helping to save energy. It helps reduce energy consumption thanks to optimised rolling resistance, with an average reduction of 27% compared with its main competitors.

This performance is based in particular on the Energy Passive Compound rubber compound, designed to reduce energy dissipation, as well as a thin belt requiring fewer raw materials. Together, these contribute to the energy transition while maintaining performance suited to everyday use.

High safety and longevity in line with the brand’s standards

This summer tyre offers a high level of safety and longevity in line with Michelin standards. It features U-shaped grooves designed to optimise water evacuation and maintain consistent safety performance throughout the tyre’s service life.

Thanks to MaxTouch technology, wear is more evenly distributed, helping to extend service life. On wet roads, braking remains effective even after 30,000 km, with stopping distances below the threshold required for the approval of a new tyre. This model therefore ranks among the 30% safest premium summer tyres sold in Europe.
