Falken WILDPEAK R/T01 Tyre
The Falken WILDPEAK R/T01 is a newly launched tyre, specifically designed to tackle tough terrains, thus enhancing the range of 4x4 tyres. Intended for adventures and demanding applications, its tread design and structure are crafted to ensure optimal performance on challenging surfaces.
Available from the first quarter of 2024, the WILDPEAK R/T01 will be offered in nine sizes, ranging from 16 to 20 inches, with a speed rating of 'Q'. As a professional off-road tyre (POR), it does not have an EU tyre label classification. The tread incorporates elements from Falken's All-Terrain (A/T) and Mud-Terrain (M/T) models, ensuring a balance between traction, durability, and longevity for four-wheel-drive vehicles in extreme conditions. This makes it ideal for sectors such as construction, forestry, agriculture, and expeditions, as well as for off-road enthusiasts.
The WILDPEAK R/T01 stands out with a hybrid all-terrain tread pattern featuring a wide contact area and rigid tread blocks, ensuring reliability, on-road performance, and off-road toughness. Its open shoulder tread design enhances its ability to handle muddy and rocky terrains, with excellent self-cleaning properties for optimal grip and traction. The three-layer sidewall provides cut resistance and additional protection for maximum grip.
According to Andreas Giese, Managing Director at Falken Tyres Europe GmbH, the WILDPEAK R/T01 is designed to overcome the most challenging conditions, allowing vehicles to conquer any surface. This model complements Falken's existing range, which includes the A/T3WA and M/T series.
Since the introduction of the WILDPEAK M/T in 2018, Falken has expanded its range of off-road vehicle tyres, offering features to conquer tough terrains. The WILDPEAK range is also used as original equipment by manufacturers such as Mercedes Benz and RAM. The WILDPEAK M/T, in size 245/75 R 16, proved its capabilities during the Classic Dakar Rally 2022 in Saudi Arabia, covering 7,500 km without punctures.
